Corey Taylor says denying Holocaust, slavery is a “travesty” to survivors

Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor has opened up about people who deny that the Holocaust or slavery ever existed.

Taylor took to Twitter to blast those who deny those historical events and talk about how disrespectful it is.

I’m gonna say this for the fuckers in the back: JUST BECAUSE YOU DON’T BELIEVE SOMETHING IS REAL, THAT DOESN’T MEAN IT ISN’T REAL. Denying things like the Holocaust. slavery, etc is a travesty to the memory of the survivors and disrespectful to the people who fought for them,” he wrote.

Taylor’s tweet comes right after news that a high school principal was reassigned after he couldn’t say that the Holocaust was a factual historical event.

More Slipknot news

In May, Slipknot unveiled their new masks in the music video for their intense track “Unsainted.” Along with that unveiling, fans quickly realized that there was a ninth member in the band.

Fans have been trying to solve the new member’s identity ever since, and now it looks like Slipknot are teasing fans over the mystery percussionist.

After the band parted ways with Chris Fehn earlier this year, Slipknot fans began to wonder if the band would leave the percussionist’s spot open or fill it with a new member.

While it’s clear the void has been filled, it looks like fans won’t be learning the identity of this member anytime soon.

Rumors have circulated from fans that the percussionist is actually Fehn, while others believe it to be a member of their road crew.

Now, it looks like Slipknot are toying with fans’ emotions over the matter, trolling us all over the identity of the mysterious ninth member.

Thanks to Reddit user Conflixshuns, we can see the words “Who is the new guy?” written across one of the drums.

In an interview with Kerrang!, Corey Taylor and Shawn ‘Clown’ Crahan refused to give up the identity of their new bandmate.

“The position you may or may not be talking about is nobody’s fucking business,” Clown says.

He later adds that it will be up to the fans to decide who the new member is after watching Slipknot perform live, stating “The proof is in the pudding.”

The band are gearing up to drop their album WE ARE NOT YOUR KIND slated to be released Aug. 9 via Roadrunner Records. It’s available for preorder here.
