Corey Taylor gives Rob Zombie the Vanguard Award at the APMAs

Shock-rocker Rob Zombie was given the Vanguard Award (presented by Equal Vision Records) at the 2015 AP Music Awards for his legendary career in music. Presenting him with the honor was none other than Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor, famous for his own brand of shock-rock.

During a acceptance speech, Zombie said, “My first big [AP] review literally said 'This is the worst band ever. Ignore this band. Whatever you do ignore this band.' So I'd like to thank Alternative Press — and the fans for ignoring the review.”

Last year, the award went to Smashing Pumpkins founder Billy Corgan.
