Creeper usher in a new era with first single “Born Cold”
Creeper kept fans in suspense for exactly a year to the day this month. After announcing their show on Nov. 1, 2018 was “the last show that [they’ll] ever do,” the band went silent.
Finally returning on Nov. 1, 2019 as the Fugitives Of Heaven, the band ushered in a new era with the first song, “Born Cold.” Following its live debut Friday, Radio 1’s Rock Show with Daniel P Carter premiered the track Sunday night.

Carter loved the track so much that he actually played it three times on Sunday’s episode.
Creeper responded to the outpouring of support, writing, “Absolutely overwhelmed at that third play in a row on @Radio1RockShow and all of these incredible tweets. Black heart and lightnight [sic] bolt emojis for every single one of you especially @DanielPCarter. Feels good to be home ? ?⚡️”

When sharing the track, the band wrote, “But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars – they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death. This is Born Cold.”

Check out the new song here and the lyrics below.
Creeper “Born Cold” lyrics
I was born cold, so much colder than you
A transparent brute
A black heart you see right through
You’re all spirit, all auburn and morning
I’m the smoker’s health
The hang man hangs himself
Do I look so good that you wanna treat me bad?
We sleep together me and you because we’ve nothing else to do
Midnight and back in luck on the hood of your father’s truck
Fall fast and feel the devil at the wheel
Do I look so good that you wanna treat me bad?
We sleep together me and you because we’ve nothing else to do.
Do I look so good that you wanna treat me bad?
We sleep together me and you because we’ve nothing else to do.

Try to feel, try to feel anything
Pretty boys, pretty girls, petty promise rings
Let’s die young and swoon
Let’s both be doomed together.
Try to feel, try to feel anything
Pretty boys, pretty girls, petty promise rings
Let’s die young and swoon
Let’s both be doomed together.
Try to feel, try to feel anything
Pretty boys, pretty girls, petty promise rings
Let’s die young and swoon
Let’s both be doomed together.
Do I look so good that you wanna treat me bad?
We sleep together me and you because we’ve nothing else to do.
Do I look so good that you wanna treat me bad?
We sleep together me and you because we’ve nothing else to do.
More on Creeper
Following their “final show” last year, the band gave the first hint that something was going on in late September. Each member posted paranormal-like activity to their Instagram feeds, which was shortly followed by breaking their silence on the band Twitter account.
The following day, Creeper announced their return, which would fall exactly a year later on Nov. 1, 2019 at Club 229 in London. Reforming as the Fugitives Of Heaven, the band shared a cryptic message with the announcement, stating “No one forgives.”
The band made their return to the stage, trading in their Callous Heart jackets (previously shed on the KOKO stage at their final show), for nearly all-white attire. Creeper gave “Born Cold” its live debut at Club 229, which you can see footage of below along with additional snaps from the gig.
