The band have been working on a new album, and recently dropped some instrumental versions of their old records.
However, even though we’re expecting a new record soon, Dance Gavin Dance frontman Tilian Pearson tweeted that “Blood Wolf” will not be on it. Instead, it will be released on a duo with their song “Head Hunter”. He also revealed in the tweet that the album will be out next year.
In case you were wondering, Blood Wolf is not on the new album, it’s the second half of the Head Hunter/Blood Wolf duo (the artwork for both singles form one piece). We are recording the new album now, to be released in 2020.

The video for “Blood Wolf” is intense. It centers around a movie within the video that’s being filmed about a blood-thirsty vampire. The song sounds funky, and is reminiscent of the band’s 2017 track “Summertime Gladness” You can see the video for “Blood Wolf” below and check out the lyrics.
“Blood Wolf” Lyrics
Sometimes ain’t nothing what it seems
Feel like we’re living in a dream
And nothing’s ever guaranteed
They say they have the answers
We say they’re full of shit
They got lots of pretty fan girls
Rather be celibate
Keep all your precious banter
We’re chasing hella rich
They do it for the front page
Us, for the Hell of it
I’ve eaten thousands of my words like bees
Then ignored stinging sensation
And enjoyed the feast
With arms wide open and you’re takin me high
If its technically creed I won’t stapp you
River
You look so far from way up
Down below
They live for a tunnel
We’re compelled to follow
Tunnel Vision
Stuntin’ on mountains
Tunnel vision
So stuck trying to blow it up
Forgot you know how to climb
Tryin to blow it up
Tryin to blow it up
Tryin to blow it up
Tryin to blow it up

Dress, text, breakfast
Rhino died, got new t rex
Gratitude from battle wounds
We’re not dead but we could be soon,
Soon soon soon
Sometimes ain’t nothing what it seems
Feel like we’re living in a dream
And nothing’s ever guaranteed
We’ll likely end up on our knees
Best thing we did was evergreen
We’ll never find out what it means
They’re gonna try to turn you into a bastard
On your way to financial bliss
In the hands of the impotent masters
Cum inside the bottomless pit
They say they have the answers
We say they’re full of shit
They got lots of pretty fan girls
Rather be celibate
