The anthemic alt-pop single is accompanied by a dazy, summery music video. Watch and listen to “Cocky” below!

“Musically and in my personal life, I kept thinking, ‘I’ve got to find and explore some new ground,’” Pearson says of The Skeptic. “I’ve always been so much more questioning than most people around me are. I never really bought into things the way 90 percent of the crowd does. That sentiment communicated the idea of The Skeptic to me.”

Pearson’s new album is due out Sept. 28 via Rise Records. The album will feature 10 new solo tracks. You can see a full tracklisting below and preorder the album here.

The Skeptic tracklisting:
  1. “Made Of Plastic”
  2. “Cocky”
  3. “Gone”
  4. “Handsome Garbage”
  5. “Hold On”
  6. “Blame It On Rock N Roll”
  7. “Let Her Go”
  8. “Drunken Conversations”
