Hear Dashboard Confessional give this Post Malone track a new spin

If Post Malone‘s incredible Nirvana tribute last week wasn’t enough Posty for you, and if you’ve been needing to scratch that Dashboard Confessional itch for a while, then you’re going to be very happy.

Dashboard Confessional just participated in Spotify Singles and in addition to an incredible reimagining of “Screaming Infidelities,” Chris Carrabba and crew also tackled Post Malone’s “Circles.”

This is a big year for Post Malone and Dashboard Confessional. The former is celebrating a record-breaking streak for most weeks spent in the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100. The latter, well, Dashboard Confessional are celebrating 20 incredible years as a band.

Dashboard Confessional’s Spotify Singles was recorded at the Electric Lady in NYC earlier this year and both “Screaming Infidelities” and “Circles” are stripped-back and powerful recordings.

“Circles” takes a hushed, mellow approach from the start before pepping up into the pop-oriented stylings Posty’s single is known for.

“We stopped by the iconic Electric Lady studios during the NYC dates of the DC20 tour,” Carrabba says. “The amazing energy in the room led us to creating an exciting, new and very different version of ‘Screaming Infidelities’ and a cover of Post Malone’s ‘Circles.'”  “I hope you love them as much as we loved making them.”

More Post Malone

With the world in a state of uncertainty, good people are doing what they can to help. Musicians are certainly in a vulnerable state right now due to the cancellation of tours and festivals, but those who can are doing right by their fans and the world. One of those people is Post Malone.

Last Friday, Posty hosted a livestream concert where he, joined by blink-182‘s Travis Barker performed a setlist entirely of Nirvana songs. The livestream was for The United Nations Foundation’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for The World Health Organization and its raised a whole lot of money already.

In case you missed it, last week Post Malone performed a Nirvana tribute livestream to raise money for the WHO.

Post Malone was joined by Barker, as well as Nick Mack on guitar and Brian Lee on bass.

The setlist included some iconic tracks from the band including “Territorial Pissings,” “About A Girl,” “Heart Shaped Box” and tons more.

Well, besides having a great time jamming his favorite songs with his friends, Post Malone raised a boatload of money.

According to Uproxx, as of April 28, Post Malone has raised over $4.3 million. TMZ reports that the livestream made over $1 million within the first hour.

Google also pledged to double the first $2.5 million raised. So, they’ll be adding an additional $5 million to the cause.

The official Post Malone YouTube channel is still accepting donations so the numbers are sure to only go up.

If you haven’t yet, check out the livestream and donate. A full setlist of Post Malone’s concert is below.
