I don't know what I'm to say but I'll say it anyway: Dashboard Confessional have unveiled a stylish new music video for their Crooked Shadows single “We Fight“. Check out the picturesque clip for the valiant new song right here!

The video for Dashboard's politically-minded rallying anthem—from their first new album in eight years—is directed by David Mack, the Emmy-nominated writer and artist behind Marvel Comics' Daredevil. So, needless to say, the fresh clip combines a wealth of colorful flourishes with the bold, distinct hues of frontman Chris Carrabba's courageous comeback number.

Carrabba recently spoke to Beats 1's Zane Lowe about the forthcoming LP, specifically the tune “We Fight” (listen to the interview here), and the singer-songwriter detailed the mystery behind penning a lasting song.

“It's a weird thing when you write a song,” Carabba says. “You think you know what it's about, but you don't until some months later sometimes. So, I thought for sure it was just about how I found a place in the world, which was worth fighting for, which was the music scene that I come from.”

Crooked Shadows, produced by Carrabba along with Colin Brittain (known for his work with 5 Seconds Of Summer, Stick To Your Guns, etc.), is out Feb. 9 from Fueled By Ramen. Watch the “We Fight” video below.

(And I may be off my rocker… but does anyone else think this new Dashboard video seems a little familiar?)
