Dave Grohl covers Motörhead, Thin Lizzy on drums at benefit gig

The cover took place during the fifth annual event on Sunday which commemorates the life of Ronnie James Dio, who died of cancer in 2010. It aims to raise funds for cancer prevention and raise awareness. Last year, the event raised more than $50,000.

Moe Dave Grohl news

In a few tweets made by Maggie Rogers, the singer-songwriter says Dave Grohl was recently mistaken for being a part of her band.

According to NME, Rogers was at a bar in Virginia Beach when the bartender asked the cursed question.

Of course, mistaking one of music’s most prevalent icons is certainly something we have to giggle about. However, it looks like we weren’t the only ones.

“I am, as they say, ‘deceased,’” Rogers says of the interaction.

Recently, as previously reported, Grohl made a special appearance at Seattle’s Pike Place Market on April 20, with Brandi Carlile. The duo covered both the Beatles and the Foo Fighters during their unexpected set.

The night before, Carlile shared a photo of her and Grohl with the caption, “I love it when Dave Grohl comes over for dinner and ATVs. You sir are welcome to live with me…please.”
