Watch Dave Grohl rock with the son of Foo Fighters' drummer

Taylor Hawkins‘ 11-year-old son Oliver spread some holiday cheer over the weekend when he sat in with his father and Dave Grohl for a song during the Foo Fighters drummer’s classic-rock set with his merry cover act, Chevy Metal.

And Oliver Shane Hawkins seems a spitting image of his dad in the fan-captured clips from the gig, much how young Violet Grohl appears to be taking after her former Nirvana member papa in the musical performance department.

It all went down as part of a benefit for the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank on Saturday, Dec. 22, as reported by the NME. Watch below as the young Hawkins takes over the drum throne for a Rolling Stones cover with his dad and Grohl:

The rock action didn’t end there, of course. Chevy Metal and the dependable truck-driving Foo Fighters drummer kept the Christmas spirit running high with some blistering takes on classic tunes by Queen, Van Halen, David Bowie and more.

And Grohl wasn’t the only rocker to assist in the star-studded benefit show. Hawkins and Chevy Metal were leavened by artists as disparate as Lisa Loeb and Mötley Crüe‘s Nikki Sixx during the show. See the setlist after some footage:

Setlist:

1. “Tie Your Mother Down” (Queen cover ft. John Lousteau)
2. “You Really Got Me” (The Kinks cover ft. John Lousteau)
3. “Panama” (Van Halen cover)

5. “The Width Of A Circle: (David Bowie cover)
6. “Moonage Daydream” (David Bowie cover ft. Lisa Loeb)
