Dave Grohl's just like us! The famed Foo Fighters frontman and former Nirvana drummer apparently attended a recent Metallica concert, and the Them Crooked Vultures sideman was spotted by fans getting his thrash-metal groove on in the moshpit area. It looks like Grohl is “Hardwired” to rock out!

As reported by the NME, Grohl was seen among the crowd on the concert floor at the Metallica show (seemingly forgoing any VIP treatment) and some selfie-taking concertgoers fired off a few snaps of the Foo Fighter enjoying the gig. Check out the photographic evidence below:

Grohl is obviously a longtime Metallica listener, once telling Creative Loafing that he'll be a “a diehard Metallica fan until the day I die.”

“I bought the first Metallica album on cassette from a mail-order catalog,” Grohl says. “I had never heard of them… and the description said, 'thrash metal.' That sounded scary and cool. So I sent them my $6 or $7 and a couple weeks later, I get this tape in the mail. It was Kill 'Em All, and it blew my fucking mind.”

Foo Fighters' new album Concrete And Gold is due out on September 15 from Roswell Records/RCA. Metallica's latest LP, 2016's Hardwired… To Self-Destruct, is one of the best-selling rock albums of the year.
