Dave Grohl breaks leg onstage, receives medical attention and returns to finish show

Earlier today, Foo Fighters performed a set in Gothenburg, Sweden and things didn't exactly go as planned for frontman Dave Grohl. According to ConsequenceOfSound, the vocalist slipped and fell while performing “Monkey Wrench.” He then remained on a stretcher for a few minutes and addressed the crowd, saying, “I think I just broke my leg again. I think I really broke my leg. So you have my promise, right now, that the Foo Fighters—we're gonna come back and finish the show.” He then gave a few more apologies and was taken backstage for medical attention.

Being the genuine dude he is, Grohl stuck true to his word and shortly returned to the stage, finishing the band's set in chair. Seriously, does it get any better than that?

You can watch a fan-shot video of him addressing the crowd on a freaking stretcher below.

UPDATE:

The band have uploaded a picture of Dave's X-Ray to their Facebook page, which confirms a broken bone.

Thank you Gothenburg. That was amazing.
