The riff on this classic Demi Lovato song isn’t actually a guitar at all

Demi Lovato is revealing a little secret about the “guitar riff” in her song “Solo” and it turns out it isn’t a guitar making those sounds at all.

The pop star took to her Instagram story the other day to share a fun fact about the track and says the guitar riff is actually a recording of her sister saying “What’s up my bi—es?!”

As reported by Billboard, Lovato took to her social media revealing the fact over a decade after the song’s release.

“At 16 I taught my little sister @maddelagarza to say ‘What’s up my bi—es?!’ and recorded her saying it… my producer thought it was hilarious and buried it in the music,” Lovato wrote along with a recording playing the song’s first few seconds. “So what sounds like a guitar riff is actually little Juanita from desperate housewives cursing on my song.”

Lovato’s sister, Madison De La Garza, is now 18 years old and earned her fame playing Juanita Solis, Eva Longoria’s character’s daughter on Desperate Housewives between 2008 to 2012.

“I kept this secret for A DECADE,” she said on her own Instagram story in response to her sister dropping the fact.
