Destroy the Runner debuts first single since 2008—listen

After raising over $6,000 in an IndieGoGo campaign, Destroy the Runner has released their first single in eight years with “End Transmission.” This single features the complete original lineup who had been on hiatus since 2010.

Their IndieGoGo campaign description explains — “While we were working on our third release, a lot of factors got in the way, and ultimately led to the band's indefinite hiatus. We weren't certain if we'd ever make another record together again, but we knew that things didn't end the way we wanted them to.”

The band released a teaser of what this new EP was going to sound like back in April, but it wasn't until today that we got a full song. Check out the teaser below:

Their latest EP Void will be released on December 9, and after hearing this latest single, we can't wait to hear the entire EP.

Despite not raising the requested $15,000 in their campaign, the band pledged to make the EP that so many fans have been waiting to hear.

“If we don't reach our goal, we're still going to put something out. We will just have to be creative with the recording process to keep expenses down. But we didn't write all of these songs just to sit on them for another 10 years,” wrote the band in their campaign description.

Destroy the Runner released two full-lengths on Solid State Records before their hiatus in 2010. Check out their latest single since that hiatus below:
