Did this 'Spider-Man 3' set photo just confirm a new MCU villain?

As each day passes, it seems more spoilers and teasers surrounding Spider-Man 3 emerge, much to the dismay of Sony and Marvel.

Following that massive leak that surfaced this week, a new photo from the movie’s set may have just confirmed the arrival of a new villain in the MCU.

Back in October, Tom Holland confirmed that filming for Spider-Man 3 had officially begun. Shortly after the cast was given the top-secret script, Jacob Batalon teased that Spider-Man 3 is full of shocking plot twists not even the actors were expecting.

Batalon’s tease was seemingly the catalyst for a slew of other rumors and leaks that have emerged over the past few months. More recently, a new photo from the set of the movie has surfaced and is catching a lot of fans’ attention.

The photo, which was shared on Reddit, shows a truck in downtown Atlanta with the F.E.A.S.T (Food, Emergency, Aid, Shelter and Training) logo on it. Now, for those of you who’ve played the video games Marvel’s Spider-Man and Spider-Man: Miles Morales, this logo may look familiar to you.

In the games, F.E.A.S.T. is a homeless shelter where Peter Parker‘s Aunt May works and Miles Morales volunteers. The shelter was created by Martin Li who is also known as the villain Mr. Negative.

The characters are two separate entities who happen to share the same body. Why? Well, it’s all a result of Li being experimented on by the Maggia. The characters were first introduced in 2007’s Free Comic Book Day: The Amazing Spider-Man #1. Mr. Negative not only has super strength but also mind control and can generate electrical energy. Meanwhile, Martin Li has a healing touch, showing just how the characters represent both good and evil.

Martin Li and Mr. Negative have not appeared in the MCU yet. However, the set photo may have confirmed they are in Spider-Man 3.

In Spider-Man: Far From Home, May Parker works for the Salvation Army. So, it’s possible she may transition into working for F.E.A.S.T. in Spider-Man 3. However, it looks like Mr. Negative may not be the only villain we see in the new film.

According to a new 4chan leak, a slew of familiar faces are returning for the upcoming Marvel movie which is reportedly called Spider-Man: Homeworlds. The leak reveals that Alfred Molina‘s Doctor Octopuswho is already rumored to appear, and Jamie Foxx‘s Electrowho has been confirmed, all appear in Spider-Man 3. However, the leak goes on to say that these characters may not be quite the same as we originally remember them.

As well, the leak says Thomas Haden Church’s SandmanMichael Mando’s ScorpionMichael Keaton‘s Vulture and Dane DeHaan‘s Green Goblin also have cameos in the film. The leak also reveals that Jake Gyllenhaal‘s Mysterio will be back in the new movie, but only in flashbacks, as well as Tom Hardy’s Venom and Jared Leto’s Morbius.

Amidst all of the rumored villains, the leak details that those Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire casting rumors may be true after all. Peter Parker will reportedly go up against these villains in the third act of the film.

Alongside Garfield and Maguire, who meet as a result of Scarlet Witch “cracking open” the multiverse, the three Spider-Mans will work together to try and defeat all of the villains from their past. However, but both Sony and Marvel have avoided confirming if those Maguire and Garfield rumors are actually true.

The leak also says that both Spider-Man 3 and Spider-Man 4 are filming back to back. However, Marvel has yet to announce the fourth film. Currently, Spider-Man 3 is slated to arrive on Dec. 17, 2021 as long as the COVID-19 pandemic doesn’t cause any delays.
