The teaser doesn’t show many characters besides Simba as a baby. However, it still looks so amazing and got us hyped for the film. You can check that out below.

Also, a new poster has been released that gives us a look at what Mufasa will look like. The poster likely comes from the iconic scene where Mufasa tells his son that everything the light touches is their kingdom. You can see the new poster below.

The first trailer for the live-action remake broke records when it became Disney’s most-watched trailer in a day. You can watch that trailer, which shows the side-by-side comparisons of the remake to the original, below.

James Earl Jones, who voiced Mufasa in the original cartoon film, will be reprising his role in the live-action remake.

Joining him in the upcoming film is the multi-talented actor and rapper Donald Glover, who will be playing Simba, and the queen herself, Beyoncé, who will be playing Nala.

Additionally, notable names like John Oliver (who was cast as Zazu) and Billy Eichner (who was cast as Timon) will be joining them for the upcoming film.

The reimagining of The Lion King follows the recent success of Disney’s live-action movies, including Tarzan, Maleficent, Cinderella, and the upcoming Beauty And The Beast.

The new Lion King opens July 19, 2019.
