In an interview with CNBC, Iger makes it clear that Disney has a “good relationship” with the streaming service but have decided to create their own streaming service instead, taking their films off the site. It is important to note that Pixar movies will also be taken off the site. The films will remain on Netflix through December of 2018.

In that same interview, Iger also revealed that ESPN will also be having it's own streaming service which will feature over 10,000 sporting events per year. However, it isn't too clear how this service will be any different than ESPN3 which also live streams content from ESPN along with streaming sporting events that are only available to watch through the service.

ESPN's streaming service will begin in 2018, while the Disney service wouldn't begin until early 2019.

Despite the fact that while all Disney and Pixar movies will be taken off Netflix, your favorite Marvel TV series such as Luke Cage, Jessica Jones or Iron Fist will still remain.

You can watch a clip of Iger's interview on CNBC below.
