Disney is creating a 'High School Musical' TV series

“We're all in this together!” That's right, High School Musical fans: The Wildcats will be back on the (small) screen, with an original series slated for Disney's forthcoming streaming service.

According to TVLine, Disney CEO Bob Iger confirmed that a television series for the hit musical, along with a live-action Star Wars TV series and additional trilogy, will be coming to Disney's streaming service.

Plus, Iger shared additional details on Disney's forthcoming streaming service, saying they plan on producing at least four original movies per year, with a fee “substantially below” Netflix's $10.99 per month price point.

Of course, there's no confirmation as to whether or not we'll have Troy and Gabriella back in the halls of East High School (even though we can only dream of that), but we still have hope that they'll bring some of the original cast onboard for the new series.
