Although Disney is still on the hunt to fill the roles of the Jafar, the Sultan, and Iago, filming is set to begin in London in August. Aladdin will be the most recent installment of Disney's live-action adaptations. With such an ambitious project to tackle, Disney has brought on producer Dan Lin (Sherlock Holmes) and executive producer Jonathan Eirich to work with director Guy Ritchie. Executive music producer Chris Montan (Pocahontas, Frozen) and producer Marc Platt (Mary Poppins Returns) are also consulting on this project.
