The singer recently appeared on Dudes Talking S#*t In A Truck with SiriusXM DJ Jose Mangin discussing the topic.
Draiman said during the chat he would rather be around a bunch of people high on cannabis than people drinking alcohol.
“A lot of the stigmas are being dispelled,” the vocalist said during the chat. “It’s not being demonized in the ‘reefer madness’ sense that it had been portrayed for so many generations. And just the medicinal benefits that it has for so many people and the alternative it provides to people, as far as other medical treatments there that are far more harmful to the body and far more side effects associated with them.”
The vocalist further discusses the “peaceful, calming” effects of cannabis and how it is combating the opioid crisis at the moment.

Draiman also previously said he was “higher than a giraffe’s ass” while writing the band’s latest album, Evolution.
In an interview with Loudwire, he follows up on a previous quote claiming he wrote 95 percent of Disturbed songs while high. “That’s still true,” offers Draiman. “Oh yeah, as a kite. Higher than a giraffe’s ass.”
He continues, “I’m all about indica, to be honest. The heavier, the danker, the more potent, the better. And when you are improvising, there’s something beautiful about what cannabis just does for you in terms of that wonderful THC high.”
