Man destroys Trump's Hollywood Walk of Fame star with pickaxe

Witnesses say the man removed a pickaxe from a guitar case sometime around 3 a.m. PDT, proceeding to smash the president’s Hollywood Blvd. tribute to pieces. Trump received the star in 2007 in recognition of his work on The Apprentice.

Although the vandal was no longer on the scene when police arrived, the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that the suspect turned himself in Wednesday morning at around 4:30 a.m. (Police haven’t disclosed the suspect’s identity.)

This isn’t the first time Trump’s Walk of Fame star has faced the threat of ruin. Actor and comedian Geroge Lopez pretended to pee on the star just last month, per TMZ. In 2016, the star was spray-painted with a swastika (via the L.A. Times).
