Drop Dead, Gorgeous members return with new band, 888

Former members of hybrid metalcore group Drop Dead, Gorgeous—frontman Danny Stills, drummer Danny Cooper and keyboardist/programmer Aaron Rothe—have returned with a new band, 888. The trio have ditched their manic-metal tendencies for an infectious breed of radio-worthy alt-pop.

After originally forming in 2004 and releasing three full-length albums, Drop Dead, Gorgeous went on hiatus in 2011. Members briefly reconvened with a new band, Bleach Blonde, in 2013, but the project has since gone dormant.
