Ed Sheeran loves Korn, Marilyn Manson as much as us

Ed Sheeran is undoubtedly one of the biggest names in pop music. The singer-songwriter is known for his emotional ballads often set to an acoustic guitar. Sheeran’s style makes his love of rock icons such as Korn and Marilyn Manson not all that surprising.

Sheeran was out and about at Manson’s Nashville show Monday. The singer was walking backstage when he ran into Korn guitarist Brian “Head” Welch and expressed how much he digs one of the band’s tracks.

“Of course [Ed Sheeran] would walk right past me and [Korn guitarist James “Munky” Shaffer at] Marilyn Manson’s concert and tell us he just listened to ‘Freak On A Leash’ earlier today. Why should we be surprised?”

Sheeran even sang along to Manson’s take on “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This),” as shown in singer Joel Crouse’s tweet.

Last month, Manson attended a Korn gig and didn’t pee in their food (which apparently he did in the past).

The singer was at the Hollywood date of Korn’s 20-year anniversary tour for Follow The Leader.

“Great to see Marilyn Manson NOT throwing a microphone at me, or pissing in my food, last night, anyway…” Munky wrote on his Instagram.

Of course this comment was in response to Manson’s confession earlier this year, where he admitted to peeing in Korn’s catering while he was on tour with the band in 1995.

Luckily, Manson did not urinate in the band’s food this time around, and the musicians were all in good spirits. Manson shared a photo with Korn frontman Jonathan Davis, saying “Korn had the best show I’ve ever seen. I love you JD.”
