On Friday, Elon Musk made a meme out of himself and Fortnite in a series of tweets. The space nerd and Tesla CEO shared a photoshopped news article with a headline that reads, “Elon Musk buys Fortnite and deletes it.”
According to Forbes, the original story is based on an article by the QZ. The satirical story also has a fake quote from Musk that says, “I had to save these kids from eternal virginity.” Upon sharing the photoshopped meme, Musk added his own caption: “Had to be done ur welcome.”

However, it wasn’t long before Fortnite fired back with an Inverse article from almost a month ago. The article talks about Musk’s big plan to build SpaceX, a space base on Mars. According to the article, Musk predicts that SpaceX will be complete in 10 years.
The game responded to Musk’s dig at their production with a Fortnite pun. “A whole decade @elon musk? Just build, LOL!”

However, Fortnite let Musk have the final say in the short Twitter quarrel.
