“Emo Coachella” mocks real thing, 8123 Fest poster plays to festival craze

Just in case the original Coachella isn’t really your speed, the Maine‘s 8123 Fest has jokingly changed the name of their forthcoming festival to fit the occasion. Now referred to as “Emo Coachella,” the festival could be a fun alternative you surely don’t want to miss.

This year, the Maine will headline the festival in Phoenix, AZ. Mayday Parade, We The Kings, Real Friends and many others will also play the one-day event.

This afternoon, the Maine tweeted out a photo recreating California festival’s poster.

We are very honored and excited to be headling #EmoCoachella 2019,” the band say in a tweet.

The festival will take place very soon on Jan. 19. “Emo Coachella” will feature two stages and 14 acts in total. You can pick up your tickets for the event here.

Officially called 8123 Fest, promoters decided to play to the viral nature of the “real” Coachella in Indio, CA.

Last evening, Coachella announced their official lineup for their two-weekend festival in April.

This year, scene favorites such as the 1975, Weezer, Billie Eilish, Juice WRLD and Ariana Grande are scheduled to make an appearance.

Additionally, actor Idris Elba is scheduled to perform a DJ set.
