Enter Shikari want us to “Stop The Clocks” with new single

British electronic-rock outfit Enter Shikari released a new single, “Stop The Clocks,” their first new music since 2017’s wondrous full-length, The Spark.

The track premiered on the Annie Mac Show on BBC Radio 1. Next week, the band will play four sets at the Reading And Leeds Festival Aug. 23-25.

“Stop The Clocks” is an unapologetically breezy pop song that will raise your heart rate and your spirits equally. It’s all part of the plan for frontman/synth op Rou Reynolds, who has become an advocate for mental health awareness, working with the Mental Health Foundation.

Anyone who has seen us live recently will have heard ‘Stop The Clocks,’” Reynolds says of the new Enter Shikari track. “It’s an upbeat post-punk/pop track about the joys of human connection. When someone is open and honest about their vulnerabilities, others can connect with them, and then all of us can feel stronger and more comfortable. It conveys the relief, warmth and freeing nature of the normalization of mental health struggles following decades of stigmatism. A flickering flame of positivity in these difficult and regressive times.”

You can stream the track here or below.

The band—Reynolds, guitarist Rory Clewlow, bassist Chris Batten and drummer Rob Rolfe—come to America in late September for a series of intimate dates with Can’t Swim. Tickets are available here with dates below.
