Morrissey's Autobiography, which finally saw a release in Europe earlier this month after various delays and disagreements, has landed a U.S. publisher and release date.

The book, now a number one best seller in the U.K. for two weeks straight, with the distinction of becoming the fastest-selling music memoir of all-time, will see its hardcover release stateside on Dec. 3 via Putnam, an imprint of Penguin. Penguin proper, who controversially published the autobiography under their "Penguin Classics" banner in Europe, at the singer's request, will handle the U.S. paperback release at a later date.

The memoir can be pre-ordered now from Amazon.

Morrissey took part in only one book signing for Autobiography's European release. No U.S. events have been announced.

Subject to mixed reviews, the book reveals previously unknown details about the singer's sexuality, personal life, relationship with the media and press, thoughts on his former band, The Smiths, and insight into his upbringing. A concert film, Morrissey: 25 Live, also saw its worldwide release earlier this month.
