QOTSA honor Foo Fighters with ‘Everlong’ tribute during Cal Jam set

What’s better than seeing Queens of the Stone Age in concert? Queens of the Stone Age paying tribute to good friends like Foo Fighters by mashing up the Foos’ mega-hit “Everlong” during QOTSA’s driving “Feel Good Hit Of The Summer.”

Both bands were playing during the Cal Jam festival, and Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme took it upon himself to tease “Everlong” during an interlude (with ludes) in the song.

It was certainly a nice move from Home to reference his rock and roll brother Dave Grohl, who previously recorded an album with Homme and John Paul Jones as Them Crooked Vultures, and a treat for fans in attendance. It also makes sense that the two would mash things up a bit, given the fact that the two bands are kicking off a tour together soon.

Did you dig Homme's interpretation of "Everlong" for that brief, shining moment? Let us know in the comments below!
