According to Theprp.com, Buckley made the drummer announcement onstage during the band's Wednesday, Sept. 27, performance in Portland, Maine, revealing that Davison has left the band. The show in question was reportedly completed with a fill-in drummer identified by ETID members as “Goose.”
ETID are currently on tour with Knocked Loose and Hollow Earth, and Davison is said to have exited the band sometime last week. Metal Injection reports that Wednesday's replacement drummer is being recognized by concertgoers as Fear Before The March Of Flames drummer Clayton “Goose” Holyoak.
Every Time I Die's core members, vocalist Keith Buckley, lead guitarist Jordan Buckley and rhythm guitarist Andy Williams, have been mainstays of the band since first forming in 1998 in Buffalo, New York. Davison—a co-founder and former drummer for Norma Jean—was ETID's third drummer, following their original percussionist Mike Novak and his replacement, Ryan Leger.
UPDATE, 12 p.m. EDT: Holyoak (a.k.a. “Goose”) has confirmed his position as Every Time I Die's new drummer in a personal Instagram post. See it below.
