Failure to play first live show in over fifteen years

After disbanding in 1997, influential rock band Failure have reunited and will be playing their first live show in over fifteen years. The show will be played on February 13 at the El Ray Theatre in Los Angeles.

Tickets go on-sale Thursday at 10 a.m.  A limited edition 7-inch featuring two rarities will be available to the first 250 people who purchase tickets at the following outlets: Amoeba Music (6400 W. Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles), Origami Vinyl (1816 W. Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles) and Axs.com.

In an interview with Spin, frontman Ken Andrews said the following:

“Once you put aside all the historical baggage, hype, regrets, etc., there is one truth that remains,” explained Andrews. “When we play music together something happens that is very hard to define and equally difficult to duplicate.”

Failure’s 1996 album, Fantastic Planet, earned a perfect 5-star review in Alternative Press.
