Fall Out Boy are teasing a Sept. 30 announcement involving PAX-AM, the Los Angeles-based studio and record label owned and operated by singer Ryan Adams.

As you may recall, FOB recorded “eight or nine songs over two marathon nights” with Adams back in July, first teased with a photo (below) and later elaborated on in an interview. Earlier this month, the group previewed the tracks for Noisey, and spoke more about the recording process and stylistic influences, going so far as to call it “the antithesis of Save Rock And Roll,” their most recent release.

Until now, the band have been cagey about announcing any formal release plans, indicating that they'd like fans to hear a different side of Fall Out Boy, while treating the session more as an exercise in songwriting. While the status of a full release is still unknown, and might be unlikely to arrive so closely on the heels of Save Rock And Roll, the group's newly-posted teaser video, which features informal studio footage and a few seconds of a song clip, strongly suggests the possibly of at least one track seeing the light of day in the near future.
