Falling In Reverse’s The Drug In Me Is You released in 2011 and captured the attention of many as it was Ronnie Radke‘s first musical project following his departure from Escape The Fate in 2008.

Now, Falling In Reverse sought to return to their roots and give fans something extra special. “The Drug In Me Is Reimagined” is a far cry from the original title track “The Drug In Me Is You.” A piano ballad that builds into a staggering crescendo, Radke describes the song as not being made to gain new fans.

“I wanted to give the fans something special,” Radke says. “This song was not made with the hope of gaining new fans — this was made specifically for the fans that have been here from the beginning. I wanted to strip down the music to show you how raw the lyrics actually are. So you can feel the song in a completely different way.”

The music video is equally as haunting as the song sounds. We see Radke playing a grand piano in the snow while mysterious figures dance, all culminating in a raging inferno.

Check out the “Drug In Me Is Reimagined” below.

While the song is reimagined, the lyrics are still exactly the same. In any case, we will include the lyrics and original track below.

Lyrics

i heard a knock upon my door the other day
i opened it to find death staring in my face
the feel of mortal stalking still reverberates
everywhere i go i drag the coffin just in case 😉

my bodies tremblin sends shivers down my spine
adrenaline kicks in shifts into overdrive
your secrets keep you sick your lies keep you alive
snake eyes every single time you roll with crooked dice
i felt the darkness as it tried to pull me down
the kind of dark that haunts a hundred year old house
i wrestle with my thoughts i shook the hand of doubt
running from my past im praying feet dont fail me now

ive lost my god damn mind
it happens all the time
i cant believe im actually
meant to be here
trying to consume,
the drug in me is you
and im so high on misery
cant you see

i got these questions always running through my head
so many things that i would like to understand
if we are born to die and we all die to live
then whats the point of living life if it just contradicts?
i felt the darkness as it tried to pull me down
the kind of dark that haunts a hundred year old house
i wrestle with my thoughts i shook the hand of doubt
running from my past im praying feet dont fail me now

ive lost

you tried to reach me but you just cant help me

you tried to save me it wont work this time

ive lost my fucking mind
