Production for the forthcoming Fantastic Beasts movie has been pushed back by Warner Bros., Deadline reports. According to the website, the work was supposed to begin in July of 2019.

However, it now looks like production won’t start until late fall. That’s because the team behind the franchise needs more time for pre-production. “Actors are being alerted about the push in production in order to change their working schedules,” notes Deadline.

Fantastic Beasts 3 had a rumored 2020 release date, and it’s not clear yet if that’s going to change with the shift in the filming schedule.

What we know about the movie so far

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald hit theaters in Nov. 18, introducing a set of new characters and stories. Although we got to see the origins of Nagini and a young Albus Dumbledore (played by Jude Law), many doubts about the story remain.

As Deadline notes, the forthcoming movie will address some of the unanswered plot questions, as well as continue the story of the beloved   characters.

David Yates, who worked on the two previous films, is still set to direct the movie. David Heyman, Steve Kloves, Lionel Wigram and Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling will produce it.
