Firefly Festival streaker arrested after knocking over DJ equipment

This year’s Firefly Festival had a very unexpected surprise as an anonymous 21-year-old decided to get naked, streak through the event and knock over some DJ equipment.

According to Dover police, the unnamed streaker was arrested on Saturday, the same day they reported nearly two dozen phones stolen at the festival.

“We had a streaker,” said Cpl. Mark Hoffman, spokesman at the Dover Police Department told the Delaware News Journal.

Reportedly, the resident stripped down Saturday night, ran through the Bud Light concert tent venue, and knocked over some sound equipment being used by the DJ.

Hoffman revealed the man was arrested on misdemeanor criminal mischief charges and escorted to the medical tent because he “had a medical issue related to his intoxication level.”

While police state no assaults were reported, one festival-goer took to Reddit to post a photo of her boyfriend, who was allegedly punched by the streaker.

Fortunately, it looks like there are no hard feelings.

“My boyfriend after being punched by the streaker! If anyone knows him let him know, no hard feelings, come over for a beer sometime!”

Another highlight from this year’s event included multiple sets from Emo Nite LA throughout the weekend. However, not every set was your typical Emo Nite party.

On top of an incredible lineup, the festival revealed they would be holding Silent Discos throughout the weekend.

Emo Nite LA revealed they would be taking over the Silent Disco twice during Firefly, once on Friday and once on Saturday.

During Friday’s event, Emo Nite outdid themselves by stepping up the Silent Disco game with a silent mosh pit.

Emo Nite then pulled it off AGAIN during their second Silent Disco set, with attendees throwing down to A Day To Remember’s “The Downfall Of Us All.”
