After declaring an indefinite hiatus in 2015, Fireworks appears to be making music again. The last content the band released was their album Oh, Common Life in the spring of 2014.

Today, Fireworks posted the below tweet.

The tweet links to a “higherlonelypower.com” and it gets a bit stranger from there. Upon arrival at the website, a picture of the artwork and a four-question survey are presented. The first question is “Do you believe a higher power is in control of your life?” and the last is “What is the modern form of Satanic Panic?”

After completing the survey, the 6:35 second track is available and it is a journey. Check it out here.

This is also Fireworks’ first tweet since 2017. When announcing their hiatus in 2015, the band posted the following statement.

“There’s no way to express how much your love and support has meant to Fireworks – and furthermore, to us as individuals over the last 8 years or so. After these upcoming gigs are ripped, we will be taking a break for awhile to give the other sides of life a try. We really don’t know how long “awhile” is, but you’ll be the first to know when we figure that out. Hope to see everyone this Spring and Summer. Fireworks Forever.”

Well, we sure hope Fireworks are back for good because “Demitasse” has us feeling some type of way. And for a fun fact, a demitasse is a small coffee cup used to serve Turkish coffee or espresso.
