First 'Iron Man 3' trailer revealed

Comic book fans rejoice: Your Tuesday just got a whole lot better with the reveal of the first trailer for Iron Man 3. The two-minute trailer is chocked with enough plot points to make your head spin and will leave you asking yourself, “WTF who is the second guy in the Iron Man suit?!”

Not only do we catch a glimpe of super-villian, Mandarin, played by Ben Kingsley, we also catch a bit of Dr. Aldrich Killian (Guy Pearce), a character from the Iron Man comic books who invents a serum that gives people superhuman abilities. Besides the new faces, Iron Man/Tony Stark, played by Robert Downey Jr. (as if we need to mention that), will once again team up with Gwyneth Paltrow (Pepper Pots) and Don Cheadle (Lt. Col. James Rhodes).

There's still much the trailer leaves to the imagination, but one thing is for sure: the third installment reveals a darker side to the superhero franchise, with Iron Man dealing with some seriously heavy shit since we last saw him in The Avengers. “Nothing's been the same since New York,” Stark says. “I can't sleep. And when I do, I have nightmares.” To find out what's keeping Iron Man up at night, be sure to check out Iron Man 3 when it hits theaters May 3, 2013.
