Flogging Molly, Social Distortion announce co-headliner

It’s shaping up to be one nostalgic summer, especially now with Social Distortion and Flogging Molly adding to an already stacked slate of shows for the warm months.

The two punk godfathers will be co-headlining a full cross-country tour kicking off in August, taking them from coast to coast.

Social Distortion frontman Mike Ness expressed his excitement for the tour, noting that it’s been over 25 years since the band’s last shared bill.

“We’re excited to be heading out on the road with our friends Flogging Molly this summer,” Ness says. “It’s been a long time since we’ve played a show together and the first time since ’92 that Social Distortion has done a co-headline tour. It’s going to be a lot of fun, and we’re all looking forward to it.”

The announcement comes amid Social D’s 40-year anniversary, which has continuously spawned some awesome limited-edition merch with more to come.

The Devil Makes Three and Le Butcherettes will hop on in support for the cross-country run. Tickets go on sale April 26 at 10 a.m. local time. You can check out dates below.
