Foo Fighters reveal special 25th anniversary tour revisiting stops from 1995

Foo Fighters just announced a 25th Anniversary “Van Tour.” The tour hits ten different cities and is special because they’re revisiting some stops they hit on their 1995 tour to promote their debut album.

Touring in a van is just what bands do, especially to promote a debut album. It’s only a bit weird in this case because Dave Grohl and Pat Smear were already very successful from Nirvana.

Foo Fighters are celebrating their 25 year anniversary in style. They’re going back to roots. Earlier last month, the band put out a video and showed their excitement at the milestone quarter century accomplishment.

Holy Shit!!! 25 years?!

Thank you guys for being with us year after year…for singing along & making every show the best night of our lives.

We’re JUST getting started, so
Buckle up, 2020… it’s going to be an INSANE year full of some seriously crazy shit…

One of those “crazy shit” things should be a new album that Grohl has been dropping all sorts of strange teasers regarding. Another one now seems to be this “Van Tour.” While no indication is given that they will be touring in a van this time around, it’s still a fun idea. Also, Foo Fighters can’t play the exact venues they played back in 1995 simply because they don’t exist anymore.

Each stop on this tour will also include a sneak peek at Grohl’s upcoming documentary What Drives Us. The flick is about what drives musicians figuratively, and maybe a little bit literally. But only if vans are involved. It includes interviews with Black Flag, the Beatles and many more.

Presale for tickets go on sale today at noon EST. General on-sale begins this Friday, Feb. 21 at 10 a.m. local time. Both can be found here. A full list of dates is below.
