Foo Fighters invite 7-year-old guitarist to cover Metallica with them onstage

Foo Fighters were joined by a very special guest at their Kansas City concert. Frontman Dave Grohl called a seven-year-old boy up on stage to cover Metallica’s “Enter Sandman.”

After inviting the boy onstage at the Friday night gig at the Sprint Center, Grohl asked the youngster, named Collier, if he played guitar. After confirming and saying that he knew a lot of Metallica songs, Grohl excitedly asked if he wanted to play one.

Obviously, he said “yes.”

For the first time in a long while, Grohl was left visibly star-struck from the young guitar player’s incredible skills.

“I know Ed Sheeran is playing down the street tonight, but he ain’t got nothin’ on Collier right now,” Grohl says.

Following the cover’s conclusion, Grohl, being the angel that he is, gave the boy the guitar he let him use for their Metallica cover. After sending the boy back to his mother in the crowd, he joked that he would be watching eBay to make sure the guitar stayed in his hands. Watch the adorable event unfold below.

This isn’t the first time that Grohl has featured a pint-sized guest. His daughter, Violet Grohl just performed with him at an Autism benefit concert. The pair played Billie Eilish’s “Idontwannabeyouanymore” and Adele’s “When We Were Young.”
