Foo Fighters reveal North American tour dates and Ramones cover

Foo Fighters have just announced a summer 2022 North American tour in support of their album Medicine At Midnight. Along with a string of U.K. and European dates, the band will hit several stadiums across the country between May and August.

Meanwhile, Dave Grohl is continuing the annual tradition of the “Hanukkah Sessions” with Greg Kurstin. The pair recently put their own spin on the Ramones’ hit “Blitzkrieg Bop” for night two.

The Foo Fighters tour kicks off in spring 2022 from South America, eventually making their way to New York’s Citi Field to launch their North American run. Although special guests have yet to be announced, Foo Fighters are planning to bring the Pretty Reckless, Greta Van Fleet, Weezer, Liam Gallagher, Amyl & The Sniffers, St. Vincent, Courtney Barnett and Shame to some of their European and U.K. dates. Tickets are set to go on sale Dec. 3 at 10 a.m. local time.

The tour news coincides with the release of Grohl and Kurstin’s “Blitzkreig Bop” cover. In the festive series, the duo perform songs that were made by Jewish artists. Their Ramones cover highlights Joey and Tommy Ramone’s heritage.

“Once upon a time, two nice Jewish boys from Queens named Jeffery Hyman and Thomas Erdelyi changed the world forever with their music… as Joey and Tommy Ramone!” Foo Fighters say in their video description. “GABBAI GABBAI HEY! Ladies and gentlemen…It’s the Ramones! Blitzkrieg Bop!”
