Foo Fighters perform under different name, remain badass

Last night, Foo Fighters performed a secret show in Brighton, England, under the fake name “the Holy Shits.” The venue was at full capacity with just 600 fans and Foo delivered a massive set filled with hits like “Rope,” “My Hero” and “Everlong.”

During the performance of “White Limo,” Foo invited the singer of a British Foo Fighters cover band onstage to perform alongside them. According to Consequence Of Sound, frontman Dave Grohl said, “We don’t wanna shit the bed in front of the UK Foo Fighters. They’ll be like ‘that’s not how it goes.’”

The “Holy Shits” will play two more “secret shows” in the U.K. You can watch video (courtesy of COS) from the first show below. Let us know how you think they did.

Foo Fighters will release their eighth studio album, Sonic Highways, on November 10 via Roswell Records (Dave Grohl’s RCA imprint label). Grohl commented on the record, saying, “This album is instantly recognizable as a Foo Fighters record, but there's something deeper and more musical to it.” He continued, “I think that these cities and these people influenced us to stretch out and explore new territory, without losing our 'sound.'” You can hear a small clip of new music from the album.
