Foo Fighters post teaser containing new music

Foo Fighters will release their highly anticipated eighth studio album, Sonic Highways, on November 10 via Roswell Records (Dave Grohl’s RCA imprint label). As a follow up to two other teasers containing new music, the band have posted yet another brief clip from from the record. This preview boasts an extremely short video recording of the effort's vinyl test pressing being played. You can check out the teaser video via Twitter's Head of Music, Bob Moczydlowsky, below. Pre-orders for Sonic Highways are available for purchase now. Frontman Dave Grohl commented on the record in an official statement saying, “This album is instantly recognizable as a Foo Fighters record, but there's something deeper and more musical to it.” He continued, “I think that these cities and these people influenced us to stretch out and explore new territory, without losing our 'sound.'”

Additionally, to coincide with the release of the record, Foo Fighters will debut their new HBO original series, Sonic Highways, on October 17 at 11 PM. In anticipation of the show, a second trailer has been released that gives viewers a look inside the band's “eight-city odyssey,” during which the LP was created.

In a recent interview with Billboard, Grohl commented on the show saying: “It’s basically the history of American music broken down to the cultural roots of each place: Why did Chicago become a blues capital? Why did country go to Nashville? Why did the first psychedelic band, Thirteenth Floor Elevators, come from Austin? How did the second line rhythm make its way to New Orleans? It’s crazy.”
