Foo Fighters release moving song for Planned Parenthood compilation

Although Foo Fighters released their ninth record, Concrete and Gold, just last month, Dave Grohl and co. are already back with a new song. The band shared “Soldier,” which you can hear below.

The emotional track is part of 7-Inches for Planned Parenthood, an album in benefit of the nonprofit organization, which also includes new or rare tracks from CHVRCHES, Sleater-Kinney, Bon Iver and more.

The compilation LP is available on Spotify and will be released in physical form on Nov. 17. All proceeds from sales and streaming will go toward Planned Parenthood.

“Lawmakers with extreme views are working hard to shut down Planned Parenthood. If they succeed, millions of Americans will lose access to basic health services, including STD testing and treatment, birth control and cancer screenings,” the team behind the project explains. “7-Inches for Planned Parenthood is a response to this threat. This curated series of records is made by a group of people who believe that access to health care is a public good that should be fiercely protected.”
