Four Year Strong drop two songs off first album in five years 'Brain Pain'

Four Year Strong have broken their silence after five long years of anticipation and patience. The band took to social media, announcing they’ll be releasing their new album, Brain Pain. The record will drop on Feb. 28 via Pure Noise Records.

Along with the album announcement, the band have released two new songs, “Talking Myself in Circles,” and title track “Brain Pain.”

The band initially started writing ideas for Brain Pain two years ago, according to guitarist and vocalist Dan O’Connor. The past year-and-a-half have been primarily spent honing in the ideas and bring them to life.

Brain Pain never had a strict deadline as O’Connor and the band wanted to write the best songs possible.

“In the past our writing and recording was so dependent on getting something out in time to go on tour,” O’Connor says. “This time, we really had the opportunity to take our time and work through these ideas.”

FYS are once again entrusting producer Will Putney with the new record. Putney helped with 2010’s Enemy Of The World, coincidentally enough, that LP will be marking its’ 10th anniversary since the release.
