Four Year Strong can’t shake the infectious “Get Out Of My Head”

With only a day remaining until Four Year Strong release their next full-length Brain Pain, the New England favorites are dropping off one more pre-album debut, “Get Out Of My Head.”

The track follows lead dual singles, “Talking Myself In Circles” and the title track, as well as “Love To Learn The Lie.” Literally taking up residency in the video protagonist’s brain, the band play through the infectious new single.

Vocalists/guitarists Alan Day and Dan O’Connor revealed the meaning behind the track captures that self-doubt that many of us face.

“‘Get Out Of My Head’ is a song about a voice of self-doubt that tries to keep you from moving forward or getting anything done,” the band says. “It’s about struggling to turn that voice off. You try and pretend it’s not there, but it’s so loud that it eats away at any ability you have to be who you want to be. It consumes you entirely. It’s about doing everything in your power to shut that voice up and overcome. You know the feeling.”

Brain Pain marks the follow-up to the band’s 2015 self-titled album. They returned to work with Will Putney who helped the band produce 2010’s Enemy Of The World.
