Frank Iero shows off new guitar with iconic My Chemical Romance riff

We’re getting ever closer and closer to My Chemical Romance‘s second show since their return. The wait has been agonizing but we might finally get some more details of this return following the gig. Frank Iero is keeping us entertained in the meantime.

The MCR rhythm guitarist just gave us another glimpse into a practice session as he rips through “Thank You For The Venom” on a new “phrend.”

Frank Iero has perhaps given us the best glimpse into life in My Chemical Romance since their epic return announcement on Halloween. He’s shared secrets and photos and now another look into his practice space.

Iero previously shared a look back in February when he took a picture of all of his guitars.

Now, he’s back and testing out a new guitar sent his way by Black 35 Guitars. They’re made in New Jersey which makes them extra cool for MCR to be rocking. Frank Iero filmed himself breaking in the ax and playing a familiar tune. We’re pretty sure it’s “Thank You For The Venom” which gets us all the more stoked about their next live show.

Also making the rounds on the internet today is a shot of their kick drum artwork from their return. The new look at the drum kit shows us the know-all-too-familiar return symbols for Clarity, Courage, Sacrifice and Devotion all tied together with their MCR acronym.

The new photo comes from the documentary The Last Scene which is described as “a documentary [that] will tell the story of the punk and emo kids who gave us the last new thing in rock music, during an era of change for the music industry and youth culture at large.”

Check out the drum kit below and some new pictures of Frank Iero. The latest teaser trailer for The Last Scene is also below.
