This documentary will take horror fans to the makeup chair and will show how Robert Englund tranforms into the terrifying villian known as Freddy Krueger. This will be the first time fans will be able to see the entire makeup process filmed in HD.

“’Nightmares in the Makeup Chair’ is my love letter to the Nightmare on Elm Street series and to practical makeup.  I’ve always been in awe of the multi-talented makeup effects artists… I was happy to become Freddy once again to share the makeup process with the fans,” said Robert Englund.

In the film, Englund shares some of his favorite memories along with meeting fans completely decked out in full Freddy Krueger makeup.

“Robert Englund’s Freddy Krueger is one of the greatest horror characters of all time, and it was exciting for me to create my own version of Freddy, ”remarked makeup artist Robert Kurtzman, “I always look forward to working with Robert Englund. He’s a captivating storyteller who tells these entertaining stories in the makeup room.   And during this film he tells these great stories about the Nightmare films and playing Freddy while I’m applying the Krueger makeup”.

At the moment, there's no release date for this amazing documentary, but there are plans for it to premeire at a film festival. Producer Mia Kerz assures fans that the release of the film will include theatrical engagements and a coffee table book detailing every step of the Robert Englund / Robert Kurtzman Freddy Krueger makeup process.
