Fueled By Ramen unveils 'Girls' soundtrack, new music from fun., Santigold and Grouplove

Fueled By Ramen has announced the release of Girls – Volume 1: Music From The HBO Original Series, the musical companion to the acclaimed comedy series. The album arrives in stores January 8, five days before the second season of Girls premieres. 

In addition, the soundtrack will be available for pre-order beginning December 11 via iTunes, the HBO Shop and the Fueled By Ramen webstore. Those who pre-order the album via the Fueled By Ramen webstore or iTunes will receive an instant download of the new Santigold track “Girls,” which was just premiered on Pitchfork. December 11 also marks the release date of Girls: The Complete First Season, which will be available on Blu-ray and DVD.

Girls – Volume 1 includes new and exclusive tracks from an array of artists, including fun., Santigold, Grouplove and Michael Penn. The digital-only Deluxe Edition will add an additional exclusive track from Tegan And Sara (see tracklisting below). The soundtrack also includes music from Belle & Sebastian, Robyn, Fleet Foxes, the Vaccines, Oh Land, Harper Simon and Icona Pop.
