“I was very moved and touched by the people who were disappointed that Wonder Woman wasn't nominated, but we certainly never did the movie for that,” she told the reporter during Revlon's Live Boldly Campaign event in New York City. “I think that you can't have it all.”

“We've done this movie and it was received in such an amazing, wonderful way, and we want to stay humble and grateful, and we're going to have another movie, so who knows?” She continued. “Maybe the next one!”

Wonder Woman was made with a $150 million budget and brought in an impressive $409 million at the domestic box office and $813 million worldwide in 2017. It's the fourth installment from the DC Universe, following 2013's Man Of Steel, 2016's Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice, and lastly Suicide Squad

The script for its sequel is already being written by director Patty Jenkins alongside Geoff Johns (who oversees the DC Universe) and Jon Berg (Warner Bros.). The movie is set to be released on Dec 13, 2019.
