Gary Holt finds humor in “suffering from all the symptoms” of coronavirus

Gary Holt, the legendary and at times controversial guitarist of Slayer and Exodus might have coronavirus. In a recent social media post, Holt said he is showing the symptoms and is now self-quarantining.

Holt last made headlines for re-releasing his “Kill The Kardashians” shirt and calling Tekashi 6ix9ine a “little rainbow brite asshole.”

Gary Holt is used to making headlines for being who he is. That is a guy who makes controversial shirts, pics and any form of merch really. The guy makes guitar pics with all of the faces of the Kardashians with upside-down crosses on their foreheads.

Now though, Gary Holt is making headlines for another reason. The legendary guitarist probably has coronavirus.

In a recent Instagram post, Holt said he is showing all of the symptoms and is remaining isolated with his wife. He says that the saddest thing is he can’t see his grandkids, and, in typical rockstar fashion, no beer.

So I’ve been locked away with @lisaholt777 , suffering from all the symptoms of Corona, without the beer! Mildly sick, better today after repeatedly waking up soaked in sweat last night. Self monitoring with my better half, and unfortunately, won’t be able to visit my grandkids until I’m symptom free for seven days. Ugh. Movie time, binge watching TV, and waiting this out!

We certainly hope Gary Holt gets better soon.

More Gary Holt

Gary Holt is the king of being outspoken. Back in January, Holt returned to the roots of one of his first controversial moments regarding the Kardashians. The guitarists printed more “Kill the Kardashians” shirts. Holt previously made headlines last year for his frequent wearing of the shirt.

Contrary to the shirts Gary Holt wears, he doesn’t actually hate the Kardashians. In June 2019 the guitarist was asked what he’d do with five minutes alone with Kim Kardashian but rather than attack her and her family, he cleared up how he feels.

“You know, I don’t hate the Kardashians,” Holt says. “I hate the people that have made them famous — us. I hate the fact that people are so enamored and just fascinated with the glorious lifestyles of the rich and famous that they would elevate them to this status.” That video is below.

So with that cleared up, Holt’s shirts don’t literally mean “Kill the Kardashians.” The musician took to Instagram to announce that he printed more of the shirts. They range in sizes from small-3XL.

THEY’RE BACK!!!! The “Holt Awaits “ version of the KTK shirts!Up now in the eBay store!! Sizes small through 3XL!! No more buying them from China and Indonesia !! Fuck the bootleggers!?Get em from the Officer!!!! Link as always in my profile!!

We wish Gary Holt a speedy recovery in these trying times. For an updated list of events affected by coronavirus, head here.
