Gene Simmons' house raided by LAPD, family not among suspects

According to a report from Metal Hammer, Kiss frontman Gene Simmons' house has been raided by the Los Angeles Police Department's Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. Despite the police's actions, LAPD spokesman Lt. John Jenal reported to CNN that “no members of the Simmons family are suspects in the case and were extremely cooperative.”

Simmons' publicist states that the police are investigating a “crime that may have occurred on their property last year while Simmons was away on tour with Kiss.” The statement continues:

Neither Mr Simmons nor any member of his family is a person of interest in the investigation and they are cooperating fully with the investigation.

Based on a few tweets from Simmons' wife Shannon Tweed, embedded below, it appears as though the use of the Simmons' personal internet accounts was involved somehow, likely in a manner involving the distribution of illegal materials involving underage children.
